Research on teacher empowerment,
with special reference to school reform, school administration, teachers' practical skills and competency, child developmental psychology, integration of information and communication technology
(ICT) in curriculum/instruction enrichment, and outcomes evaluation
of ICT.
April 1, 2002 through March
31, 2003, no less than 6 months and no more than 12 months.
The monthly salary
of 696,000--742,000 yen for associate professor and professor (estimated ) is provided. The salary might vary on the basis of status and research career.
Partially furnished
university apartment is provided. Accommodation supplies include electricity,
gas, water, telephone, and furniture will be arranged. The research
fellow shall pay rent and furniture rental to the university. Charges
for electricity, gas, water, TV, and telephone are to be paid by the research
fellow.
Travel
Expenses and Others |
(1) A round-trip
airline fare (economy class) only, the most economic route from the
nearest airport of a researcher's home to Hyogo University and a cost
of charges of passport shall be paid in Japanese yen when arrived.
(2) Domestic
survey trip expenses, 94,000 yen (US$895 estimate) will be offered
by the university.
(3) Monthly
research expenses, 46,000 yen (US$438) such as books, journals,
software, etc, shall be paid.
(4) The
HUTE network is available without any charges.
(5) Office
space is provided at CESER.

All documents
will be reviewed by a selection panel and are critical in determining
the quality and acceptance of the scholarship program. A summary
of publications must be congruent with the content of the research
subject of the program.
Confirmation
of date and time for selection procedure will be announced.
Acceptance/declination
of the application to the program will be notified by the middle
of July 2002.

2. A
one page possible research project: title, goal and aims of project,
participants, and methods.
3. A
summary of top 20 publications, 50-100 words each.
